BOOKINGS - TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern the hire of RSL Stirling ("the Hall"), located at 5 Merrion Terrace, Stirling, SA 5152, which includes the Front Hall, Middle Hall, and Kitchen. By booking any part of the Hall, the Hirer agrees to comply with these terms.

2. Definitions
1.  Community based groups - All not for profit groups.
2.  Fee charging hirers who require a fee for participating in the class/event or have other means of

     securing funds.
3.  Businesses, Political Parties or Council .

Hirer:  The individual or organization booking the Hall.

Hall:  Refers to RSL Stirling, including the Front Hall, Middle Hall, and Kitchen.

Committee:  The RSL Stirling Management Committee.

Booking:  The agreed hire period for the Hall or its facilities.

3. Booking Process

3.1. All bookings must be made via online form, email, or phone at least 7 days in advance.

3.2. The Hirer must provide details of the event, including purpose, expected number of attendees, and facilities required.

3.3. A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of confirmed booking by email.

3.4. The Committee reserves the right to refuse or cancel any booking at its discretion, with reasons provided where applicable.


4. Hire Fees and Payment

4.1. Hire fees are as follows:


        Front Hall:     $30 per hour for business related hiring (Or by negotiation)

                            $25 per hour for community-based groups (Or by negotiation)
        Middle Hall:   $30 per hour. for business related hiring (Or by negotiation) 

                            $25 per hours for community-based groups. (Or by negotiation)
        Kitchen:        $25 per hour.
        Bar facilities: by negotiation


Annual Fees for community groups are $300 payable from the 1st of July each year.

4.3. Payment to be made within 14 days of receiving the invoice.


5. Use of Facilities

5.1. General Use:

The Hall must only be used for the purpose specified in the booking form. And the Hall must be left clean and tidy, with all rubbish removed or placed in designated bins.

No smoking is permitted inside the Hall or within 5 meters of entrances, per the Tobacco and  E Cigarette Products Act 1997 (SA).

Noise levels must comply with the Environment Protection (Noise) Policy 2007 (SA), and events must conclude by 11:00 PM. or by negotiation.


5.2. Kitchen:

The Kitchen is available for hire only with prior approval and must be used in compliance with the Food Act 2001 (SA).  The Hirer must ensure all food handling complies with food safety standards and that the Kitchen is left clean, with all equipment returned to its original condition.  No unauthorized use of Kitchen equipment is permitted.


5.3. Bar Facilities


Open to negotiation in compliance under the Liquor Licensing Act 1997 (SA), Alcohol must not be brought into the Hall without prior approval.


6. Responsibilities of the Hirer

6.1. The Hirer must:

·         Ensure the Hall is used in a safe and lawful manner under the Work Health 

           and Safety Act 2012 (SA) and public liability requirements.

·         Any damage, accidents or incidents must be reported to the Committee

          within 24 hours.

6.2. The Hirer is liable for any damage to the Hall, its fixtures, or equipment caused by the Hirer or

       their guests.

6.3. The Committee reserves the right to inspect the Hall during the hire period.


7. Cleaning and Maintenance

7.1. The Hirer is responsible for returning the hired facilities to its original state after use.

7.2. No decorations or fixtures may be attached to walls, ceilings, or floors without prior approval.


8. Liability and Indemnity

8.1. The Committee is not liable for any loss, injury, or damage to persons or property during the hire period, except where caused by the Committee’s negligence.

8.2. The Hirer indemnifies the Committee against any claims, costs, or liabilities arising from the Hirer’s use of the Hall.


9.  Dispute Resolution

9.1. Any disputes arising from the hire of the Hall will be addressed through negotiation with the Committee and if necessary, may be referred to mediation

          or relevant authorities in accordance with South Australian law.
